14 Items That Are Used to Create Synthetic Golf Shoes

Wearing synthetic golf shoes is the key factor to succeeding in golf. This is why golfers can maintain good swinging positions. Detailed below are the equipment and materials that manufacturers typically use to create the shoes.

1. Hydraulic press

The hydraulic press forces a dye into the fabric until the cutouts of the shoe are created. It uses heat to separate the cutout portion of the fabric from the remaining fabric.

2 .Dye

The dye is a metal outline of the shoe’s cutout. Different dyes are used to create different cutouts. Golf shoes are comprised of four cutouts ― heel cutout, tongue cutout, toe tip cutout, and upper cutout.
The heel cutout is sewn onto the back of the shoe’s upper. The heel cutout forms structure to the back of the shoe’s upper.

The tongue cutout is sewn onto the front of the shoe’s upper. The tongue cutout forms the tongue of the shoe’s upper. The tongue lets you widen the shoe so that you can easily insert and take out your foot. The toe tip cutout is sewn onto the toe tip of the shoe’s upper. The upper cut out forms the shoe’s upper.

3. Decorative machine

The decorative machine creates shoelace holes into the upper cutout. It also creates holes in different shapes.

4. Tray

The tray is where the toe tip cutout is placed. The manufacturer places a thermal resin strip on top of the toe tip cutout. A non-sticky sheet is placed over the toe tip cutout before the tray is placed through a hot metal press.

5. Hot metal press

The hot metal press lets the thermal resin strip melt into the toe tip cutout. Melting the thermal resin strip strengthens the fabric of the toe tip cutout. The toe tip cutout should be attached to the non-sticky sheet as the manufacturer lifts off the non-sticky sheet.

6. Stamping machine

The stamping machine stamps the model number onto the heel cutout.

7. Computerized platform

The computerized platform has the outline of the design. It sews the design into the outlines. Some golf shoes have designs that are manually sewn by the manufacturers.

8. Computerized needle

The computerized needle sews the information of the shoe onto the tongue cutout. The information may include the shoe size and the construction material.

9. Sewing machine

The sewing machine lets the manufacturer seal a padding between the heel cutout and the upper cutout. It also seals a padding inside the tongue cutout. The machine also lets the manufacturer sew the upper cut out to the base fabric. The base fabric is where the sole will be attached.

10. Air compressor

The air compressor is used to puncture the shoelace holes. It’s only used if the puddings obstruct the shoelace holes of the golf shoes.

11. Foot form

The foot form is a plastic foot model. It allows a fitting-and-gluing machine to form the upper cutout and the base fabric into the shape of the foot form.

12. Fitting-and-gluing machine

A fitting-and-gluing machine holds onto the base fabric. The machine’s nozzles apply cement to the undersides of the upper cutout. The undersides of the upper cutout are glued onto the base fabric using cement.

13. Heating machine

The heating machine activates the applied cement. Activating the cement allows the base fabric to be bonded to the outsole. The machine also prepares the out sole to be bonded to the insole.

14. Mechanized pressure

A mechanized pressure further presses the outsole to the base fabric. This is done after the manufacturer manually presses the base fabric and the outsole together. The shoe is completed at this point once an insole is inserted into place.

The manufacturer inserts the shoelace through the shoelace holes. The shoe will be inspected for any imperfections before it can be packaged. The manufacturing process of synthetic golf shoes are similar no matter what their brands are.
